| Category: | General Session | | Date / Time: | September 13, 2007 | | Delivered At: | Leadership Conference - Mexico | | | Description: | Spanish Description:
English Description:
Improving an organization's processes requires performance measurement and comparison to specified standards. Identifying standards for Six Sigma deployments is often accomplished through benchmarking; however, how does a company separate the best practices from those that are merely common, born from habitual business trends? How can a company develop a practical understanding of benchmarking data, and how can the data support a company- and culture-specific "flavor" of Six Sigma?
"Branding" can play a tremendous role in the future growth and adoption of Six Sigma. Organizations must commit themselves to bringing commonality to diverse perspectives, practices and nomenclatures. To improve results, companies require the passionate support of their leadership, as well as a commitment to sharing and learning from knowledge networks, reference sources, and development programs. |
