WebEx Presentation Format

This archived media file requires the WebEx player to view. If you have never used the WebEx player before, these instructions will describe how to download and install it on your machine. We reccommend that you read the instructions carefully before downloading and installing the software for best results.

How to Download and Install the WebEx Player To View WebEx Formatted Recordings

If you don't have the WebEx player installed and you try to view an Archived Focused Session recorded in WebEx format, you'll get a dialog box indicating that your system does not know how to deal with this type of file, as shown below:

You must first download and install the WebEx player. First, click the Cancel button to exit out of the File Download window, then download the player from ISSSP.com's website by clicking here.

A dialog box will appear, asking if you want to run or save the file, as shown below:

Click the Run button. This will download the player and start the installation process, as shown below:

Once the download is complete, a Security Warning will appear if you are running Windows XP SP2 or above, as shown below:

Click Run button to continue. The installation of the WebEx player will begin. Once the install process has completed, click the OK button, as shown below:

At the end of the installation you will be asked if you want a desktop shortcut for the WebEx player. This is entirely up to you:

If you want to create a shortcut on your desktop for the WebEx player, click the Yes button, otherwise click the No button.

Upon successful completion of the installation process click the button marked Finish:

The WebEx player is now installed on your system. Try viewing the Archived Focused Session again. You will see the File Downloadwindow, but this time you will have the option to open the file:

Click on the Open button to view the Archived Focused Session, and enjoy!
