Description:As a major access point to healthcare, the efficiency of the Emergency Department can affect outcomes and set the tone for the entire patient experience within the hospital. Six Sigma methods have proven to be effective in raising ED patient and physician satisfaction, avoiding ambulance diversion and reducing the number of patients leaving without being seen. Hear from a GE Medical Systems Black Belt regarding Six Sigma's applicability in the ED and gain valuable insight from three case studies presented by hospitals using Six Sigma to improve cycle times for Triage to Placement, Bed to Physician and Diagnosis to Discharge.
