Todays search for most effective methodologies to drive successful business results are forcing companies to take a closer look at the characteristics of improvement projects and projects in general. Every project is unique; therefore how the project is managed determines its outcome. A small project scope oversight, data calculation error, or making an incorrect decision can easily undermine the success of the project.
Understanding the advantages of Six Sigma DMAIC and PMIŽ Project Management methodologies will ensure that projects are meeting their businesses objectives. For example, one of the advantages of DMAIC is the effectiveness of its troubleshooting tools and techniques while one of the advantages of Project Management is the formal control of change for scope, time, and cost. The incorporation of some tools and techniques of Project Management to Six Sigma DMAIC will maximize Voice of Customer (VOC), allowing Lean Six Sigma to increase profits and market share.
This roundtable discussion will focus on how to maximize Lean Six Sigma project benefits by using some of the PMIŽ Project Management Methodology knowledge Areas.
Valuable comments extracted from the wide variety of perspectives of attendees will be collected, organized, summarized, and distributed to roundtable attendees. |
