Boyd Clarke

Tom Peters Company Chief Executive Officer Boyd Clarke describes himself as a passionate capitalist. In addition to leading the company, he works with the board of directors and executive teams to dramatically improve their impact and results. He was recently quoted, "What's all this talk about turbulent times, this is a great time to be in business."

Boyd is the Co-Author of The Leader's Voice: How Your Communication Can Inspire Action and Get Results!, published by Select Books and recently published in July of 2002.

Whether addressing an audience of 2000 business professionals or consulting with the top executives of a Fortune 500 company, Boyd readily establishes a connection to people and real issues through his honest, open and inspirational style.

Boyd is deeply concerned about the role of business in society. His current vision is to help individuals and organizations invent a new world of work. Boyd believes we must re-invent the way we work to thrive, or even survive in our chaotic times of cutthroat competition, ever-changing markets, turbo-charged technology, booming e-commerce, and www-dot-everything.

In addition to his client consulting and speaking engagements, Boyd serves on the Board of Directors of several companies. He has held several executive positions throughout his career and is a successful three-time entrepreneur. Boyd's passion for helping companies improve and navigate through choppy waters began at AT&T, where he was in charge of leadership development.

Boyd's client engagements have included Pfizer, Wyle Electronics, ON Semiconductor, Bell South, and Intesa. Other clients have included Acordia, Arby's, AT&T, Baxter Healthcare, DHL, IBM, Motorola, LensCrafters, SDRC, Seagate Technology, Texas Instruments, 3M, Valvoline, and Visa.

Recent speaking engagements were held at Pepperdine University, LensCrafters and Valvoline. Boyd also gave several recent speeches arranged through Leading Authorities. In the past few years, Boyd has been keynote speaker at Linkage's Summit on Innovation and Creativity and at The Conference Board of Canada's Creating Winning Futures: Strategic Project Management. In 2002, he will keynote at the National Human Resources Association Annual Luncheon, will be the prime speaker at a summer Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce event and will moderate a CEO panel at Linkage's Leadership Development Conference.

Boyd holds a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Change & Development from The Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University. In the summer of 2000, he was awarded The Graziadio School's prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award.

A few years back, more than he would like to admit, Boyd was one of the top ten salespersons at AT&T and later served as Vice President of Sales for ITI.

Boyd is the father of four and became a Grandfather May 1, 2002.
