Why is 1/2 Sigma Performance in People Tolerated? How Can we Reach 6 Sigma Levels?
Host:Advisa

Date / Time:May 19, 2006
At:7th Annual Six Sigma Leadership Conference
Duration:120 Minutes
Abstract:

Why is 1/2 sigma performance in people tolerated? How Can we Reach 6 Sigma Levels?

In many organizations, only one out of three people selected to become Black Belts are truly successful in their role. Many flounder without completing their first project. Others only produce marginal results. Formerly successful organizational leaders leave the organization. Frequently, coaching of BB’s goes unheeded where in other cases it hits the mark. How can we tolerate this level of inconsistency with people in a 6 Sigma world? Why don’t we hold people to the same DMAIC standards we do our processes?

In this session, Bob Wilson and of Bob Wilson & Associates will lead a discussion about how the Predictive Index behavioral assessment can be used to raise performance levels throughout the change management process. Attendees will take the Predictive Index on line prior to the session and results of that assessment will be used to understand how variance can be driven out of hiring, coaching and mentoring Black Belts.
