Andrea Zimmerman began working with factories throughout the world over 25 years ago, observing the impact of raw material sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution on communities and the environment. She earned her Six Sigma Black Belt in 2002 at Sunbeam Products, Inc. As a product development and marketing professional, she has worked with retailers and their suppliers in every channel of distribution, advocating lifecycle thinking and continuous improvement discipline as the antidote for greenwashing. Andrea led the 2010 ISSSP Leadership Summit Sustainability Workshop, as well as several ISSSP Sustainability Focused Sessions and iSixSigma Sustainability Workshops. Most recently, her collaboration to adapt tools and techniques that comprise CISR has been through The Continual Improvement Lab, which she founded in July. Andrea earned her B.A. in language and international trade from Clemson University and is pursuing a masters degree in sustainability and environmental management at Harvard University.
