Q: What is an MBB Circle?

A: MBB Circles are specialized events - peer-group discussion and information sessions - that bring together diverse professionals who share common interests. They are held as stand-alone events or in conjunction with trade shows or Six Sigma conferences. Topics often revolve around performance enhancement, training for advanced new skills, and linking Six Sigma to business strategy and collaboration. Past discussion topics have included: Axiomatic design in the DFSS process, use of advanced tools (DOE, MSE) in healthcare, Six Sigma synergy with other quality EMEA initiatives, simulation use in all phases of DMAIC, and deploying DFSS in a service business.

Q: What are the roles of the host?

A: The session host determines the topic, format, and time frame, location, target audience, and facilitator.

Q: Who can host an MBB Circle?

A: Only Corporate and Affiliate Partners and Leaders are eligible to host MBB Circles.

Q: Who attends MBB Circles?

A: ISSSP works with the session host to develop a targeted invitation list. Attendance is by invitation only.

 

Q: How is an MBB Circle different from ISSSP Presents?

A: MBB Circles are typically shorter in duration. While ISSSP Presents may be a day-long seminar, an MBB Circle usually lasts between one and three hours. facilitated roundtable discussions. Another difference is that MBB Circles are typically held in conjunction with trade shows or Six Sigma events, while ISSSP Presents is typically a stand-alone event.

Q: Will I receive an attendee list?

A: You will receive an attendee list, consistent with ISSSP's privacy policy.

Q: What is the cost?

A: The session host pays ISSSP $25 per actual attendee, plus the cost of room rental, food and beverage, logistics and management.

 

Q: Can we charge admission to an MBB Circle?

A: No. MBB Circles are offered to the Six Sigma community free of charge.
