Traditionally this function had been viewed as a "necessary evil" to enable us to have optimal inventory levels for order filling time. The debate was over how often should we be replenishing?
This cross border initiative considered replenishment as a function of performance, facility layout and sales. It went back to the basics to fully understand why do we have Replenishment? By doing so, it enabled us to clearly focus on performance to our customers and create an integrated and automated control plan with other initiatives in the order filling and slotting functions.
