| Find the Significant Y's and Critical X's of Your Procurement Supply Chain |
| Host: | PeopleSoft, Inc. | | Category: | Roundtable | | Facilitated By: | Bruce Spurgeon | | Date/Time: | Tuesday, October 26, 2004 | | Delivered At: | Organic Growth and Innovation | | | Length of Session: | 60 Minutes | | Description: | This roundtable discussion will address the performance of the procurement supply chain for non-manufacturing items and companies. It seems easy to find Six Sigma information on "direct" parts procured by manufacturing companies, but not so easy for "indirect" items for non-manufacturing (or manufacturing) companies. Does this mean that specification compliance, on time delivery, contract compliance, etc. are less important for paper, forms, services and other items? Can a company operate efficiently and effectively without a high level of performance and low level of variability from their suppliers?
This roundtable will address the issues of importance; quality or
performance metrics, and six sigma approaches in these environments. Please
bring your expertise, examples and open mind to this session. We will
discuss and develop approaches to business improvements for these areas.
