Six Sigma Projects to Drive the Top Line
Company:BMGI
Presenter:David Silverstein
Date / Time:June 12, 2003 8:00 - 8:45 AM
Delivered At:4th Annual Leadership Conference
Length:45 min
Description:Historically, Six Sigma has been focused on driving bottom line improvements. Sure, companies talk about customer focus, but still, the projects they’re working on for customers generally target “problems” of interest to the customer. Of course improving the bottom line through defect reduction and throughput improvements will always be a positive move, but when Six Sigma projects can target revenue improvements, the benefits can be much greater. First off, incremental revenue generally carries much larger margins. Secondly, the bottom line is fundamentally bonded – by the money spent to deliver today’s products and services. In most businesses, unless already controlling 80% or greater market share, the top line is relatively unbounded. In his presentation, David Silverstein, President of Breakthrough Management Group, Inc. will talk about the application of Six Sigma to sales and marketing for the purpose of driving the top line.
