The Master Black Belt – Selection, Role and Career
Host:DuPont
Category:Roundtable
Facilitated By:Dennis Broughton
Date/Time:June 12, 2003
Delivered At:4th Annual Leadership Conference
Description:The MBB is viewed as a pivotal role in Six Sigma from a technical, mentoring and change management perspective. How should they be selected, what experiences should they have and what types of additional training have been given to MBBs?

Are there different types of MBBs, some that are focused on training, some on project mentoring, some on change management or can one person be expected to do all of these tasks?

Should the MBB assignment be for a specific timeframe or should this be viewed as long-term career potential opportunity? Share your perspectives and experiences, the goal is to advance the knowledge about Master Black Belts to further optimize the results from Six Sigma.
