Jens Hansen is Microsoft’s Director of Continuous Improvement (CI) where he is responsible for the strategy, planning, deployment and execution of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) throughout the company. Within Microsoft, CI resides with Business Process Management, Scorecarding, and Dashboarding efforts in the Business Transformation organization. In this capacity he has developed the company’s training, certification, and project portfolio system in addition to coaching and mentoring organizations in their CI deployments.

Jens joined Microsoft from JP Morgan Chase where he led the Lending organization’s merger office for the Bank One merger and also led the project management office for Bank One’s Retail Lending. Prior to JP Morgan Chase he worked at General Electric where he held leadership roles in IT and Six Sigma in the Corporate IT group.

Jens also has 13 years of experience in leadership, staff, and analysis roles in the military and continues to serve today as a reservist in U.S. Special Operations Command.
