Master Black Belt,
Celanese (Master Black Belt)

Christopher (Chris) Smith, of Celanese Chemicals, is a certified Black Belt expected to receive his Master Black Belt certification in June, 2006. He is a servant husband, proud father of 5 wonderful children and a 3rd Generation Texan! Chris enjoys participating in the large productions of his church choir like playing Avram in "Fiddler on the Roof”, Nepthali in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, and an Apostle in "Jesus Christ Superstar”.

Chris received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1982 after which he joined Celanese Chemicals. There he enjoyed success in many “cool” roles including Process Control and Process Engineering, Operations and QA/Lab Management, Business Analysis and Supply Chain Management, Black Belt and now Master Black Belt In-Training. His toolbox contains the “cool” tools of Crosby, Deming and Statistical Process Control, Rummler-Brache, Tom Peters, and 6-sigma.

Chris looks forward to having fun bringing Monte Carlo Simulation to life for you and helping you improve your future 6-sigma efforts.
