David Silverstein
CEO,
BMGI (Champion)

Mr. Silverstein is the President and CEO of Breakthrough Management Group, an internationally recognized leader in Performance Improvement consulting, training and software support tools. Mr. Silverstein specializes in performance management strategy and developing technology products that complement the Six Sigma and Performance Improvement learning process. He has been involved in a number of initiatives in both developing business and deployment strategies and ensuring their strategies work. As a Master Black Belt and Six Sigma deployment leader, his experience includes executive mentoring and training as well as hands-on work with Six Sigma Black Belts and Champions to lead companies through the implementation of their Six Sigma initiatives.

Mr. Silverstein has authored numerous articles on the topics of Six Sigma Strategy and Implementation, Total Performance Improvement and Executive Development. Mr. Silverstein’s comments and written articles on topics including “Too Many Chiefs” and the rising trend towards using Six Sigma in Sales, Marketing, Advertising and PR have appeared in over 100 publications including the Wall Street Journal, Business Finance Magazine, Robb Reports Worth Magazine, Black MBA Magazine, Investors Business Daily, CRM Magazine, ComputerWorld and Chief Learning Officer. Mr. Silverstein has also appeared on CNN’s “Squeeze Play” business television program speaking about “Too Many Chiefs”, what he calls "a disturbing trend in corporate America" -- as an alternative to educating current executives, more corporations are hiring Chief Risk Officers and Chief Ethics Officers to fill in the gaps,

Aside from his numerous publications, Mr. Silverstein is involved in a number of speaking engagements on those topics. He is a sought after keynote speaker and has chaired numerous high profile and industry events. He appears annually at the International Society of Six Sigma Professionals Leadership Conference alongside speakers such as Jack Welch, Stephen Covey, Larry Bossidy, Jim McNerney and many other globally recognized names.

Mr. Silverstein holds a dual B.S. in mathematics and physics from Ithaca College. He also earned an M.B.A from George Washington University. Mr. Silverstein is a member and supporter of many organizations and activities outside of Breakthrough Management Group including the Young Entrepreneurs Organization, a volunteer group of business professionals, all of whom are under 40 years of age whose mission is to support, educate and encourage others to succeed in building companies and themselves.
