Best Practices On-Demand

With the completion of the Instantis customer best practice fall Focused Session series in November, we achieved a couple milestones for our Focused Session program. Since 2006 we have sponsored 15 customer-led Focused Sessions (24 in total) in collaboration with ISSSP. Over 2,500 individuals registered for the live events and many more watched the recorded webcasts. Through this vehicle you have had the opportunity to leverage peer successes and best practices in focused areas like project selection, financial reporting, knowledge management and training.

Looking at this body of wisdom collectively from 50,000 feet, some interesting inferences can be made about what our Webinar leaders chose to talk about most and what drew the largest audiences. The most popular topics were global user adoption, strategy alignment, and program governance.
  1. The preponderance of Webinar dialogue over the years supports the conclusion that employee buy-in is the single biggest driver of transformative success.
  2. This can be achieved with strong leadership which can be institutionalized in the program governance model.
  3. Strategy alignment ensures that everybody is working on the right things validating leadership and, in turn, further stimulating employee buy-in.
Conclusion: Get your program in synch with the leadership and strategic agenda and individual contributors will follow.

If you are looking for more ideas on a specific topic area, please visit our Guide to Recorded Webinars where you will find a matrix of Webinar topics and presenting organizations.

Featured Program

Business Process Management (BPM) and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) are complementary initiatives and together foster business alignment. Successful and sustainable business transformation requires a programmatic approach that includes the technology of BPM and the methodology of CPI. A programmatic approach to process improvement and management:
  • Fosters a close alignment between the various functions of the business and IT
  • Incorporates change management and program management
  • Ensures communication at all levels and
  • Establishes control mechanisms for sustainability
Through these Leadership Circles, ISSSP and Software AG will provide a forum where senior leaders in Six Sigma, Lean, and Process, and IT can discuss transformation, along with critical issues and opportunities that face deployments today. Specifically, we will:
  • Discuss and share ideas for leveraging the tools, techniques and methodologies of these disciplines for greater synergy
  • Explore with peers and industry leaders how might craft a programmatic approach
  • Discover best practices, anecdotes, and examples for achieving this leverage;
  • Network with a special interest group
  • Take away practical ideas that you can implement immediately
Upcoming cities include: Atlanta, GA; Dublin, OH; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ; San Francisco, CA; St. Paul, MN and Washington, DC.
